Don’t forget that its the end of year Christmas BBQ meting tonight (2 December) from 6pm. Bring a chair, a plate, your cutlery and something to drink. The Club will provide a BBQ dinner. IF you have any special needs or want to cook something specific, please bring it along!

Now …. log books.

You can pay your 2025 membership subs ($60) and get your Conditional Registration logbooks re-authorised for 2025 tonight.

You are reminded that come 1 Jan 2025 you MUST (a) be a paid up member and (b) have had your log book (or books) re-authorised for 2025 before you can drive your Conditionally Registered car on the road.

If you are not a financial member before 1 Jan 2025 and/or your log book is not stamped as being valid for 2025, that New Years Day run you had planned can’t go ahead.

Use the Christmas Party night to get either Don or Gordon’s stamp and signature into your logbook and your club fees to Kerry.

I will talk to Don and Gordon about possibly holding another logbook evening or day later in December but please don’t count on it.

Get in tonight and get it sorted please! If your logbook is not signed for 2025 and you are caught driving it on the road you are driving are driving an unregistered car. Whist the issuing authority may choose to issue a lower fine (and by that I mean in the order of $1600 as a reduced fine), the maximum penalty is $7500!

If you don’t think you can make it to a signing session, we will be running a ‘mail in’ service. The process is as follows:

1. Take a copy of you logbook (photocopy) and use this to sign any drives you might undertake whilst you log book is ‘in the mail’.
   • All travel must be recorded into the log book on its return.
   • This process will only cover up up to 31 Dec 2024.
2. Send your logbook plus:
   • copy of your registration, AND
   • proof of 2025 membership payment, AND
   • a stamped, self addressed envelope for its return (the Club is not paying for your logbook to be mailed back … sorry!).
   • Don will be clearing the mailbox regularly leading up to Christmas and will sign and return your logbook if everything is there. This way you should have it before New Years Day
3. If you need a new log book for 2025 please also include $5 (per each new logbook required). This will take a little more time as Gordon processes all the new logbooks so we will need to get your mail across to him; however, if you act quickly to get it into the mail, you should still get your new book before New Year.

NOTE: If we have signed your current or new book and its ‘in the mail’ on return, if you have not received it before 1 Jan 25 you can’t drive until you have it.
